Hi Team

Unfortunately my motocross season for this year has come to an end. We went to Dysart on the weekend for Round 4 of the Central Highland Series. During practice round on Saturday I hit a kicker on a table top causing the back wheel to come up and send me over the handlebars. I was taken to Dysart Hospital and later flown to Mackay Base Hospital with a Fractured Left Femur. I have since had surgery and had a rod inserted. I am now home but have a long recovery ahead of me.

I will be on Crutches for 3mths and have been told I will not be able to play any sport for over 6mths. To be told that I am not able to ride my bike for more than 6mths is devastating. As disappointed as I am, I know it could have been worse and these things happen in Motocross.

My only option at the moment is to look after my leg and let it heal. I know with a lot of hard work I will be able to ride again and I look forward to when I can get back on my Bike.

I would like to thank everyone for their well wishes and for all the help at the Track on Saturday after my crash.

I have had a great year of racing ending the CQMX Series in 5th Place on my 250 and almost taking a place on the 125 in 6th place. I also won two out of three of CHMX Rounds; I enjoyed every weekend of riding and had fun hanging out with the great friends that I have made at Motocross.

The success that I have had this year would not have been possible without the help of my sponsors. I would like to thank Redline Honda, Maverick Welding and NRS Nebo. Your kindness, continued help and support throughout this year has been very much appreciated. Thank you so much for everything you have done for me. I would also like to thank my family, without your continued support I wouldn’t be able to race at all.

It will take a while but I will be back on the Bike next year. Thank you all again and I will keep you up to date with my progress.

Thanks, Ryan Rovelli
